Luvo Resource Hotline Offers Expert Guidance in Top Three Risk Areas
In a recent report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Medicare made more than $23 billion in payment errors in 2017, largely due to improper documentation. With increased scrutiny and a steady stream of regulatory changes, wound care program administrators face significant challenges when it comes to meeting compliance guidelines.
To help partner hospitals reduce claim denials, Wound Care Advantage has launched a new resource hotline focused on the top three risk areas: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO), Cellular Tissue Products (CTP), and Targeted Probe & Educate (TPE) programs.
Available on WCA’s Luvo wound care management system, the Luvo Resource Hotline provides direct access to WCA’s experts, including Christina Le, CNO, and Vanessa Ploessel, MHA, who oversees all billing and coding operations.
“When it comes to the most common risk areas, there’s a huge need for guidance as well as education,” said Christina Le, CNO of Wound Care Advantage. “One small billing or coding error can result in long delays or denials, leaving much-needed healthcare revenue on the table. The Luvo Resource Hotline is designed to help avoid those denials and ensure that appropriate documentation is completed within the EMR.”
